We have had two new tank sensors produced to fit the classic Saab 900 up to 1993.

The fuel tank sensor suffers with age, especially with modern fuel, which promotes corrosion with its ethanol content, and of course also with condensation. Occasionally, the resistor wire inside also gives up the ghost, so that a display is no longer possible.

The sensor for the carburetor engines also contains the suction pipe of the mechanical fuel pump. If it is heavily corroded, rust gets into the lines and the filter and clogs them. This inevitably leads to misfiring and stalling at some point.

In the worst case, the intake manifold will be corroded, causing the fuel pump to suck in air from the hole in the pipe. If you break down with a half-full tank, this could be the reason.

Reasons enough for us to have suitable sensors produced for the Saab 900, as new original parts have not been available for several years.

The tank sensors are manufactured in a modified version, with a float on a lever which actuates a potentiometer. The original solution had a float in the surging tube, which slides along a resistance wire. Depending on the vehicle and model year, only the plug on the vehicle wiring harness needs to be changed; suitable crimp connectors and shrink tubing are included with the tank sensors.

The original contact for the warning light is present on the sensor.

The new tank sensors for the classic Saab 900 are now available in the store under the numbers 1020398 (injection engines from 1983) and 1088492 (carburetor engines from 1983).

Steering column bearing for Saab 900 and 9000 https://www.skandix.de/en/news/steering-column-bearing-for-saab-900-and-9000/2735/
Due to demand, we have had the upper steering column bearing and the reproduction of the inner bushing for Saab 900 and 9000 in our store for some time now.

Recently, however, we have been asked more and more frequently about the outer rubber seat ring. This has also often reached the end of its life, is falling apart or is simply worn out. The play in the steering column is increasingly criticized during the main inspection, and the part has not been available from Saab for a long time.

We quickly ordered the next reproduction and can now supply all three parts of the upper steering column bearing.

The steering column bearing under the steering wheel consists of the inner bushing 1031055, the ball bearing 1031057 and the outer ring 1031056.

All three parts are now available in our store so that your steering is free of play again.

What this bumper car has to do with a Saab 96 https://www.skandix.de/en/news/what-this-bumper-car-has-to-do-with-a-saab-96/2641/
A report about bumper cars?
SKANDIX is a specialist for Volvo and Saab vehicles!

If you think SKANDIX has lost its marbles, you're wrong. Because we also sell spare parts for bumper cars, or rather for IHLE microskooters.

Our indicator lenses (1002886, 1072760) were until now only known in the context of the fancy Saab 96. But we were taught better here, said glasses were misappropriated as rear lights on the IHLE microskooters in the 1970s. The front lights for the IHLE Mikro were fog lights which were also used on the Porsche 356, 911 or 912.

With this in mind... A new round, a new amazing drive!

PS: This is not the first time that SKANDIX spare parts have gone astray. Back in 2011, we published a report on the Stromberg 175 carburettor diaphragm, which also fits BMW motorbikes.

Many thanks for the information and pictures to Oliver Ehm

Volvo & Saab in the cemetery https://www.skandix.de/en/news/volvo-saab-in-the-cemetery/2719/
It's Halloween again and therefore spooky time....
Images of cemeteries, where the undead rise from their graves, come to mind.
Dutch photographer Jascha Hoste from Groningen has developed a preference for such places and situations. He photographs abandoned places. He is also fond of old cars. He has published numerous videos of Volvo graveyards and Saab graveyards on YouTube.

If you like to immerse yourself in this special, somewhat morbid atmosphere, you should also pay a visit to his other social media channels.

SAAB J21/92 https://www.skandix.de/en/news/saab-j2192/2620/
SAAB climbing frame in Sweden.

Scrap-Nisses Playground | Skrotnisses lekplats
By children, for children. | Från Barn, för barn.

In a city steeped in Swedish cultural history and neo-modernity, the Saab not only appears on site in the context of the former Saab factory or the Saab Museum, but new generations can also playfully engage with the nostalgia of the car manufacturer there.

Based on the children's book by Jan Lööf "Skrot-Nisse", published in 1976, a child communicated the idea of a very specific playground to the city by letter. Trollhättan complied with the creative idea and let one school class in particular have the upper hand in the design. Detailed work was done by Jan Lööf, the creator of the story, and Lars-Åke Kylén, the director of the film version of the book.

The setting around the "Skrotgård", i.e. the scrap yard of the scrap dealer Skrot-Nisse also adorns a not insignificant detail. In reference to the Saab company and its aircraft construction, especially the J21, a Saab 92 also finds its place there and is part of a popular attraction as well as an absolute eye-catcher. The Saab plane can also be climbed and the interior offers space for two young pilots.

Built in the public park Spiköns, the authentic venue is located on one of the peninsulas and can be reached at any time on foot or by boat along the adjacent river Göta älv at the Spiköns Café. Numerous parking spaces can be found on the other side of the park and combine the visit with a nice walk along Strandgatan.

Over the years, the model of the 92 has changed and been refurbished from time to time. So we would like to share with you not only a travel recommendation, but also the current state of the "Flygmotor", as it is called at the top of the hanger behind it.

At the foot of the seemingly endless body of water, next to the idyllic bays of the multi-faceted flora and fauna around Lake Vänern, the town of Trollhättan has numerous other highlights in store for young and old and is well worth a visit!

Saab 900 and 9-3 Convertible Top Cover Repair Kit https://www.skandix.de/en/news/saab-900-and-93-convertible-top-cover-repair-kit/2612/
A repair kit for the small outer flaps on the convertible top of the Saab 900 and 9-3 Cabrio is now available.

When the top is out of adjustment due to age, because tensioning rubbers are tired or the potentiometers in the servomotors no longer give the correct feedback, then the top control is sometimes a little confused and the top moves against one of the flaps when it is lowered. As a result, the hinge of these flaps often breaks off. New flaps from Saab are no longer available and the market for used parts is quite empty.

So once again we looked for a pragmatic and sustainable solution that would also look good.

The result is a complete hinge part that can be glued into the broken flap part. The protruding part of the hinge has to be sawed off the flap, detailed instructions can be found on our website. We have tried it ourselves on a defective flap, it works perfectly.

The repair kits are now available in our shop under the numbers 1088888 (right) and 1088889 (left).

Fits the following vehicles:

  • Saab 9-3 (-2003)
  • Saab 900 (1994-)

Saab 96 Trailer https://www.skandix.de/en/news/saab-96-trailer/2563/
My third Saab 96V4 - model year 1968

In Norway they say: "All good things come in threes". For me, my third Saab was the one I had the longest, and maybe it will be the last. It was manufactured in 1968, but first registered in January 1969. The first owner had it for just over a year before it was bought by my brother-in-law (my wife's brother). It has been in "family ownership" for 52 years so far. Since selling my '70 model, I had told my brother-in-law, "If you ever sell the Saab, tell me." A few years passed, but in the spring of 1983 I was told that he was now going to buy a Saab 99 and that I could take over the old one. The car was now 15 years old and I only paid NOK 3,500 for it. When I came to work with a "new car" there was much laughter and humour. Two of my colleagues had recently bought a Simca and Nissan. Both were much newer and more modernly equipped, but the Nissan was replaced again and the Simca delivered to the car graveyard 3 and 4 years later, ... the Saab is still alive. I used it as an everyday car from -83 to -92 and it worked great. Then it stopped for a few years, then I had an "everyday car" again and I have to admit that I had also thought about a car graveyard. During this time I received a call from my friend Bjørn from Nord. He had heard that Saab was to celebrate its 50th anniversary as a car manufacturer in 1997. There was to be an anniversary race from Oslo via the North Cape to Trollhättan. I was hesitant, but Bjørn was persistent and full of good arguments. This led me to join the "Friends of the Old Saab" and start discussing things that needed to be done on my Saab. Some rust needed to be removed, new shock absorbers, new tyres. I got help from a local garage who helped me with something and the tyre dealer sponsored me with new tyres and an advertisement for "Dekkmann" on the car in return for driving. During and after the said trip it was then also called "Dekkmann-Saab".

The SAAB Anniversary

There were participants of all ages and from half the world, also Australia, New Zealand and the USA were represented. One of "our people", who lives in Hammerfest (way up north), also travelled the long way (1870 km) to be there from the beginning. He then rode uphill again, past his hometown, the entire round of about 5700 km with us, before riding the 1870 km back home once more. For those of us who think 5,700 km was long, it was little compared to his journey of 9,440 km. Throughout the journey, Swedish rally legend Erik Carlsson (1929-2015) was also there. And when he later crossed the finish line in Trollhättan, it was he who greeted every single participant.

So the day came and we started with 168 old Saabs from Oslo. Pleasant stops and shared campsites along the way led to many lasting friendships. Cars were repaired on the way, one got a new engine, a new gearbox, a clutch change. I myself had to fix a radiator leak and change brake pads, but there were always helpful people and access to parts was always available. At the North Cape there was a separate reception, entertainment and dinner before we turned south through Finland and Sweden. In the north of Sweden I met a man who had exactly the same type of car at home as me. I got his business card and an offer to buy it for NOK 1,000 if I needed spare parts (It was to come in handy). The whole trip ended in Trollhättan with a big anniversary, a test drive and a show on Saab's test track and very pleasant days in good company.

Arrived at home

Then I was back home and a little noise I had heard in the engine got worse and worse until one day it suddenly stopped altogether. After all the experiences on the trip, the previous thoughts about a car graveyard for the Saab were finally buried. There were many new friends who would never forgive me for such an act. Now I also had access to the "spare Saab", which was stored in Enkøping, just outside Stockholm. A good friend who had helped me before came over, we borrowed a trailer and picked up the replacement Saab. To get it into Norway duty free, it had to be physically split in two before we crossed the border. Tools we had brought with us were used, the doors removed, the car sawed in half and re-strapped. When we arrived at the customs office, it was already late evening and dark outside. I went in with the papers and asked if they would come out to see if it was done properly? But no, they stamped the papers and wished us a good trip without checking if we had actually split the car in two. A winter of work in the garage followed. The best of my own car was kept, but doors, wings, engine from the other were taken over. In addition, several hundred metres of welding wire and large pieces of putty were used. The car was previously painted with synthetic varnish, this does not harden but has to dry by itself. The combination of ordinary paint and synthetic paint causes the paint to boil, so we had to use the same type that was used before. After a long autumn and winter, the car was in much better condition, the paint was beautiful and ready for many new years.

Is this rubbish?

When I finished the restoration of my Saab with the help of the parts donor picked up in Sweden, there was a lot of "mess", "junk" lying around in the garage. My wife asked me to remove the mess and throw it away. I tried to explain to her that it was "Swedish Saab steel" and not "clutter". Then came the idea of a trailer.

At that time I had cut the car off at the rear where the door ends. The best doors, windscreen etc. were used on my own Saab. Now I have the scraps lined up on the side of the rear axle... the rear edge of the rear wing, welded together with the front edge of the front wing, could be useful as a "side". There was also a lot of welding inside the trailer. Then we tried to put up the grill with headlights and found that it worked well. Half the bonnet was hinged at the back and put on. Also, the sides of the body were bent backwards at the bottom of the rear window and a piece of the roof of the parts dispenser was cut out and put on top, welded tight, a plexiglass pane was cut and fitted with a rubber seal around the windscreen.

For fun, we also welded in mounts for windscreen wiper arms and fitted two, as well as a washer nozzle fitted to the back of the bonnet. We found an old overrun brake from a caravan and welded it on at the front, extended with two large pipes reaching all the way to the back (Here I was able to use a flex pipe to route the car's exhaust out through the two pipes at the back of the trailer). It all came about through a few pleasant Saturdays in the garage together with a good friend who knows everything about cars and mechanics.

After the first trip, which was to the Norwegian meeting for Saab vintage cars in 2000, I realised that the original 1.5-litre, 65-horsepower engine was a bit weak for driving over country roads with the trailer. So a 1.7-litre engine was brought from Sweden. However, after reassembly, it turned out that two pistons were broken. My friend got two new pistons, used a new crankshaft and the block from my old engine and assembled this. I took the engine to meetings in Latvia or Finland and sometimes to Trollhättan. Here the trailer got a lot of attention and was also mentioned in the Gothenburg trade newspaper.

Later some modifications were made, among others a double Weber 36/36, a 2-inch exhaust, sport filters and last winter also a bigger radiator from a Mercedes W120, separate expansion tank and a 10-inch electric fan. The car runs very well but now I have had it for 40 years, I am 71 myself and no longer feel comfortable lying on the garage floor. So the car is now up for sale. Now someone else MUST take over the equipment.

Modern car radios and accessories in contemporary design https://www.skandix.de/en/news/modern-car-radios-and-accessories-in-contemporary-design/2551/
Various car radios and accessories in the design of the 50s to 90s with modern technology are now available in our shop.

A modern radio in a classic or youngtimer is a break with style and always looks like a foreign body in the dashboard.

This was not the only reason for us to take a look around on the market. Due to the increasingly strict catalogue of requirements for the H-licence plate, unsuitable radios have now also become a point of criticism.

We did not make the choice very easy for ourselves. After all, we wanted to cover the relatively wide range of model years and model series for which we have parts in our range. On top of that, the radios, like modern ones, should at least have Bluetooth hands-free capability and a DAB+ tuner. The former for safety reasons and DAB+ because analogue FM stations are to be switched off at some point. Besides, reception is usually much better with DAB+ and not interrupted by noise.

A contemporary look, preferably exactly like the original radios of the time, was of course the basic requirement.

For vehicles from the 80s and 90s, there is no way around the current Blaupunkt Bremen and Frankfurt radios. They look just like the original radios of the time. The models were in the accessories catalogues of some well-known vehicle manufacturers at the time, for example Porsche. They therefore fit perfectly into Volvo 200, 700, 900 and 850 as well as Saab 900 or 9000. USB connection and a card slot are hidden behind the cassette slot.

For vehicles from the 50s to the 70s, we offer Retrosound radios. They are available with chrome or black trim and buttons to match the look of the vehicle. Until the end of the 60s, vehicles were mostly equipped with painted dashboards with chrome applications, where the chrome trim fits perfectly, for example in Humpback, Amazon, early P1800 or early Saab 96. In the 70s, everything became more sober and safer, often also in black, and the radio manufacturers reacted to this with black trims as well. There, the black retro sound fits Saab 99, late 96s or Volvo P1800, 140 and 164.

All radios offered have contemporary USB connections and preamplifier outputs.

A car radio needs accessories, of course, and until the 90s a so-called radio preparation was often not standard in many vehicles. Loudspeakers, antenna and wiring were usually missing.

Many older vehicles up to the 80s also have no loudspeaker cut-outs or punched holes for them in the panelling and bodywork.

In order not to have to cut any body panels or door panels for the loudspeakers, various forms of surface-mounted or console loudspeakers were already available in the 70s.

Probably one of the best known was the Blaupunkt spherical loudspeaker, which inhabited what felt like every second rear shelf in the 70s and 80s. Blaupunkt reissued this design classic some time ago, so there was nothing more obvious than to include it as a contemporary accessory in our shop.

In the 70s to 90s, multi-way speakers were often found on consoles; they usually provided a broader sound image and did not get in the way on the rear shelf. We have included the Pioneer TS-X150 as a pleasant-sounding representative of this design.

For a richer low-frequency foundation, the Blaupunkt GTW 190A subwoofer can be installed invisibly under most seats. It only needs to be connected to the preamplifier output of the radio and has its own amplifier.

To ensure not only the sound but also good classic FM reception, we have telescopic aerials in various designs, both electric and manual in black or chrome in the shop.

Of course, we also have the necessary installation material such as adapters, connectors, shrink tubing and much more. So that even the installation is fun and the Autohifi works well for a long time afterwards. And it's even more fun when your favourite songs make the rides even more enjoyable.

Saab-Saturday in Riesenbeck https://www.skandix.de/en/news/saabsaturday-in-riesenbeck/2579/
Report on the 7th SAAB-Saturday in Hörstel-Riesenbeck near Osnabrück

For the second time, the SAAB-Saturday, currently the largest day meeting for vehicles of the traditional SAAB brand, took place in and at the Agricultural Machinery Museum in Riesenbeck. In summery weather, almost 320 vehicles found their way to the meeting on Saturday, 3 June - a new record number of visitors!

The largest group consisting of 53 convertibles was provided by the "Saab Cabrio Groep" from the Netherlands, which arrived with an impressive convoy. In addition to many guests from the NRW and Lower Saxony area, numerous guests with longer journeys were also welcomed. SAAB owners from Saxony, Baden-Württemberg, Berlin, Brandenburg, Hamburg, Bremen, Schleswig-Holstein and Hesse did not miss the opportunity to travel to Riesenbeck. A big thank you goes to Carlos from Barcelona, who visited the meeting with his 900i Sedan. Stephen, a guest from Arizona (USA), also combined his tour of Germany with a visit to us. A big thank you to all participants!

As a highlight during the meeting, various Saabs are honoured and receive a trophy as well as a gift from our marketing and media partner SKANDIX. This year, we were able to award prizes to the following vehicles:

  • "Old Iron" (Saab 92, 93, 95, 96, Sonett): Sonett II in red from Göttingen

Congratulations to all winners!

We hope all guests had a great day and enjoyed the event. We appeal once again to all SAAB owners who do not yet know or have never visited the Saab-Saturday: It is really worthwhile and we are happy to help you find a suitable place to stay. No matter how old or what model, every Saab is welcome to join us!

The date for 2024 has not yet been fixed. We have to wait for the Saab Festival in Sweden to be scheduled.

Bushings for clutch pedal for Saab 900, 9000 as well as 9-3 (-03) available again https://www.skandix.de/en/news/bushings-for-clutch-pedal-for-saab-900-9000-as-well-as-93-03-available-again/2560/
The bearing bush for the clutch pedal Saab 900, 9000 and 9-3 is available again.

The two bearing bushes of the clutch pedal are parts that perform their service inconspicuously for a very long time. Their existence is usually only noticed when they have stopped working.

If the plastic bushing has fallen apart, the pedal axle has a lot of play and every step on the clutch is accompanied by unpleasant noises. The axle then rubs metal on metal without lubrication, which of course has nasty consequences for the material in the long run.

Quite apart from this, the feel of the pedal also becomes unsightly, it can be moved sideways quite a bit and thus provides a certain insecurity.

If the pedal rubber is worn at the same time and the shoes are still wet from the rain, it can even be dangerous.

The bearing bushings are quite easy to replace, but unfortunately they were discontinued by the vehicle manufacturer a long time ago without replacement. We were asked for them several times, so we had them remanufactured.

The bushings for the clutch pedal are now available again in our shop under the number 1044987.

On the Saab 9000, this bushing is also fitted to the brake pedal.

Fits the following vehicles:

  • Saab 9-3 (-2003): all models, gearbox all manual gearboxes
  • Saab 900 (1994-): 1998 model, transmission all manual
  • Saab 900 (-1993): all models from chassis number J3024362 gearbox all manual transmissions
  • Saab 900 (-1993): all models from chassis number J7024482 transmission all manual transmissions
  • Saab 9000: all models, transmission all manual

Saab Turbo 006 Cabrio Junior Mini-Car https://www.skandix.de/en/news/saab-turbo-006-cabrio-junior-minicar/2529/
Someone heard they existed, many thought it was a myth, but still - these little cars really do exist! Supposedly only 75 of them were produced. The Saab Turbo 006 Cabrio Junior is a real mini car with a petrol engine. One such car model is currently being sold online (see link below), it has working lights and a reverse gear. The dimensions of the car are: length 210 cm, width 116 cm and weight 55 kg.

The mini car imitates the classic Saab Turbo cockpit. It is also designed for use in winter conditions. The car has adjustable brake and accelerator pedals. The built-in 3.5 hp Honda engine consumes about 1 litre of petrol per hour. This gives it a top speed of 35 km/h. The power is transmitted with a continuously variable transmission. The chain leads to the axle pinion on the left rear wheel. For winter conditions, 2-wheel drive is also possible with drum brakes on the rear axle. The Turbo 006 mini car was recommended for children over 8 years (and for adults).

Roots

There is information to suggest that more were produced, up to 150. These were not manufactured by SAAB, but licensed and sold through some dealers. The price at the time was around $1,900 in 1986. Today the price of these cars is up to 4,000 euros. They were originally manufactured in Finland around 1986 by Lokari - Leo Laine Oy.

Leo Laine Oy Ltd. is a family business that was founded in 1967. The company's business areas include thermoforming of HD polyethylene, PP and ABS plastics, injection moulding and the production of plastic sheets.

Among other things, Lokari also builds inner mudguards for numerous vehicle models. These are made of plastic and do not rust.

Spring cap rear axle lower for Saab 900 (1994-) and 9-3 (-2003) https://www.skandix.de/en/news/spring-cap-rear-axle-lower-for-saab-900-1994-and-93-2003/2498/
The lower spring seat for the rear axle on the Saab 9-3 and 900 is available again.

The spring seat between spring plate and spring provides noise damping and prevents friction of the metal parts on each other. If it were not present, the friction would quite quickly destroy the coating of the spring plate and spring and lead to corrosion on both parts.
Not infrequently, creaking noises would also be the result because the spring is not properly centered and can wander a bit.

Unfortunately, the vehicle manufacturer has not been able to supply this spring seat for some time. Since plastic and rubber parts also age and eventually crumble, we have had this inconspicuous but important part remanufactured.
The remanufacture corresponds in design and material to the original part and fits without problems on every Saab 900 (94-) and 9-3 (-03).

The new spring seats have now arrived and are now available in the store under the number 1025456.

Fits for:

  • Saab 9-3 (-2003)
  • Saab 900 (1994-)

Artificial intelligence dreams of Volvos and Saabs https://www.skandix.de/en/news/artificial-intelligence-dreams-of-volvos-and-saabs/2478/
Modern technology and old cars - an experiment:.

Admittedly, we do not know what "artificial intelligences" actually dream of, or whether they are even capable of dreaming. But something fundamentally new currently seems to be happening in this previously rather technical discipline.

Perhaps you already use Alexa, Siri or another assistance system that can help you make everyday life easier. Until now, the assistance provided by such artificial assistants has been limited to simply providing answers - such as asking for the latest weather report - dialing phone numbers or starting the appropriate music playlist.

In recent months, new AI systems have been making headlines, with possibilities and areas of application that go far beyond what was previously thought possible. For example, these systems are able to create images or works of art, to generate photos and films on command. Or even to think up stories, poems or entire television series.

So why not try what these systems can come up with about old cars? Of course, we are primarily interested in the subject of Volvo and Saab vehicles!

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a broad and complex topic that encompasses many aspects of technology, science, and philosophy. However, it is also a topic that is becoming increasingly important as it penetrates more and more into our daily lives and influences important decisions in our daily lives.

One of the interesting application areas of AI is the creation of images or artworks. There are already numerous examples of AI systems that are able to create realistic images of people, landscapes or buildings.

So we dare to experiment and use the AI "MidJourney" to create images of classic Volvo and Saab cars.

MidJourney is an AI-based image editing and design tool. With MidJourney, users can upload images of vehicles and then easily make changes to customize the image. For example, colors can be changed or new details can be added.

It is also possible to have a completely new image created from a text input. For example, we enter one of the following statements:

  • "Volvo P1800 on the beach in dark atmosphere in front of the ocean at sunset"
  • "classic Saab in a backyard in NewYork City"
  • "Volvo 200 in a gloomy science fiction scene"

Not always comes out an exactly detailed vehicle. You can see that some quite different image templates are mixed here. Nevertheless, it is amazing how well the AI interprets the respective theme and produces mostly aesthetically pleasing and creative output.

The results speak for themselves...

PS: This text was generated in parts by the AI "ChatGPT" (see italic text). Translation to English was done by AI "DeepL". It is amazing and scary at the same time, which new possibilities are opened up by AI tools!

Was this topic perhaps too technical for you because you are a car enthusiast but not an IT nerd? Whatever your opinion, this technology is currently influencing our everyday lives at a breathtaking pace and will soon become indispensable. That's why it can't be wrong to start thinking a little about its potential impact. As long as artificial intelligences are friendly to us and share the same passions as old cars, nothing can go wrong, right? ;-)

Your Saab as a poster https://www.skandix.de/en/news/your-saab-as-a-poster/2480/
We would like to introduce you to someone who not only has a plan of screwing but shares a very special passion for SAABs. With his illustrations, Michael has made it his mission to keep the brand alive for Saab lovers and brings a breath of fresh air in terms of design for the home, the workshop or another favorite place! See for yourself how he stages SAABs once again to the eye-catcher and the iconic classics, but also newer models powerful in scene.

You want to know what Michael has to tell you?
Fasten your seatbelts and we'll take you into conversation!

Hej, please introduce yourself to our readers.
Hello, my name is Michael and I am from Poland. I am a trained production engineer and one of my many passions is graphic design. On social media I show my car posters and other artworks with different car brands, including SAAB.

Do you drive a SAAB yourself?
I have two SAABs in my collection:
First a SAAB 93 AERO 2003 260hp
and a SAAB 93 Cabrio 1999' 200hp.
Both cars I use for daily use. The cars are constantly modified by me, especially the SAAB 93 AERO. As far as I can, I repair them myself and share my experiences on my Youtube channel.

What inspired you to create car posters?
I noticed that you can't buy nice SAAB posters on the market. There are many interesting gadgets for brand fans, e.g. BMW, Mercedes, etc. I decided to provide SAAB fans with the best possible posters to decorate their rooms. I wanted every SAAB owner to have the same car model hanging on their wall that they have in their garage.

What else do you illustrate?
At the moment, I'm just focusing on creating graphics with cars. There is so much work that I don't have time to create other graphics. I used to create graphics for bicycle stickers for old Polish bicycles as well.

Tell us about your relationship with SAAB!
My adventure with SAAB started in 2019, when I bought my first SAAB 93 AERO 2003'. Before that, I was an owner of VW cars. However, after some time I decided that I want to drive a car that stands out on the road and has a sporty character - the choice fell on SAAB. My dream is a well-maintained SAAB 900, I think they are great cars and I am sad that the brand no longer exists.

What was your most beautiful work and why?
The greatest adventure and at the same time its beginning was designing posters with my car. It's inspiring to have a poster in your room with exactly your car.

Where is your favorite place for a poster?
The posters hang in different places in my apartment. I have four of them in my room. Another interesting place where I hang posters is my garage.

Which project from your repertoire do you like the most out of all your artworks?
I like SAAB 900 posters the most. I love these cars, even though I don't own a "crocodile". Right now I'm looking at the SAAB 900 poster, but I think there will be a car next to it in the near future.

Would you like to share some future projects with the community?.
Yes, of course! I think I have created almost all SAAB car models. But I don't have SAAB Sonett and SAAB 96 yet. These will be projects that I will do in the future.
Another project is also the production of T-shirts with graphics created by me. Currently I have several t-shirts with my designs and I am testing their quality on myself. I think that knowing the quality of your own products is the key to success and customer satisfaction.

Anything else you would like to share with us?
Yes! Take care of your SAABs, because you are the owners of a brand that no longer exists, and there will be no more of these cars. The cars will thank you for it.

With this beautiful outlook we would like to thank Michael for the great interview and are very happy to offer a selection of his great work in our online store!
