When the top is out of adjustment due to age, because tensioning rubbers are tired or the potentiometers in the servomotors no longer give the correct feedback, then the top control is sometimes a little confused and the top moves against one of the flaps when it is lowered. As a result, the hinge of these flaps often breaks off. New flaps from Saab are no longer available and the market for used parts is quite empty.
So once again we looked for a pragmatic and sustainable solution that would also look good.
The result is a complete hinge part that can be glued into the broken flap part. The protruding part of the hinge has to be sawed off the flap, detailed instructions can be found on our website. We have tried it ourselves on a defective flap, it works perfectly.
The repair kits are now available in our shop under the numbers 1088888 (right) and 1088889 (left).
