Report on the 7th SAAB-Saturday in Hörstel-Riesenbeck near Osnabrück
For the second time, the SAAB-Saturday, currently the largest day meeting for vehicles of the traditional SAAB brand, took place in and at the Agricultural Machinery Museum in Riesenbeck. In summery weather, almost 320 vehicles found their way to the meeting on Saturday, 3 June - a new record number of visitors!
The largest group consisting of 53 convertibles was provided by the "Saab Cabrio Groep" from the Netherlands, which arrived with an impressive convoy. In addition to many guests from the NRW and Lower Saxony area, numerous guests with longer journeys were also welcomed. SAAB owners from Saxony, Baden-Württemberg, Berlin, Brandenburg, Hamburg, Bremen, Schleswig-Holstein and Hesse did not miss the opportunity to travel to Riesenbeck. A big thank you goes to Carlos from Barcelona, who visited the meeting with his 900i Sedan. Stephen, a guest from Arizona (USA), also combined his tour of Germany with a visit to us. A big thank you to all participants!
As a highlight during the meeting, various Saabs are honoured and receive a trophy as well as a gift from our marketing and media partner SKANDIX. This year, we were able to award prizes to the following vehicles:
- "Old Iron" (Saab 92, 93, 95, 96, Sonett): Sonett II in red from Göttingen
- Saab 99: early 99 in white from Kreis KLE
- Saab 900I: 900I turbo Sedan with TRX wheels from circle ME
- Saab 9000: 9000CC in white from circle PE
- Saab 900II / Saab 9-3I: 9-3 Viggen in silver from Oberhausen
- Saab 9-3II: 9-3 Sportcombi Griffin from Hoorn (NL)
- Saab 9-5I: 9-5 estate with roof box from Paderborn
- Saab 9-5II: 9-5 Turbo6 from Uelsen
- Special prize: Carlos from Barcelona, Saab 900i Sedan
- Farthest journey: Stephen Butler Dewey, Arizona, USA

We hope all guests had a great day and enjoyed the event. We appeal once again to all SAAB owners who do not yet know or have never visited the Saab-Saturday: It is really worthwhile and we are happy to help you find a suitable place to stay. No matter how old or what model, every Saab is welcome to join us!
The date for 2024 has not yet been fixed. We have to wait for the Saab Festival in Sweden to be scheduled.
