In contrast to the original design with a float in the surge pipe, this fuel sender is a variant with a float on the lever. Because the float floats on the fuel, the fuel needle can fluctuate to varying degrees depending on driving behavior, as movements in the fuel are passed on to the fuel gauge as a signal.

The original connector housing cannot be reused because the distance between the contacts is slightly larger. New connectors and an insulating hose are included with the fuel sender.
Service instructions:
To minimize the fluctuations caused by the undamped instrument, we recommend installing the fuel tank sender so that the float arm moves perpendicular to the direction of travel. There is a small cylinder on the fuel tank sender that also calms down the fluctuations when the tank is full, but this only works when the car is filled up for the first time after the replacement.
