With this kit you convert the float chamber breather of SU HS6 carburettors to new float chamber caps with hose connections, where the fuel is drained off in a controlled way via a drain hose in case of float chamber overflow.

In some SU HS6 carburettors the float chamber venting is still done through a small hole in the float chamber cover. Here, in case of a carburettor overflow, the fuel runs over the carburettors and then drips onto the hot manifold and exhaust - fire hazard!

As a "side effect" of the conversion, the formation of vapour bubbles is thus also much less problematic and the larger bleed nipples do not clog so quickly.
