Tin vehicles made from old cans
The street children in Madagascar build their own characterful toys from leftover materials. The creative idea of this recycling art was taken up by poor families we know and developed into a small production. MAHAFALY has revived the original toy production using traditional methods. The waste of civilization from cans, wire and spray cans, lovingly converted, gets a new value as a collector's item and a curious gift. The recognized fair direct trade (ATO-TÜV) with purchase guarantees for the producers has a job and income securing function. All unique "Scrap Mobiles" are manufactured by hand in over 20 small family businesses.
