Tin vehicles made from old cans
The street children in Madagascar build their own characterful toys from leftover materials. The creative idea of this recycling art was taken up by poor families we know and developed into a small production. MAHAFALY has revived the original toy production using traditional methods. The civilization rubbish made of cans, wire and spray cans, lovingly converted, is given a new value as a collector's item and curious gift. The recognized fair direct trade (ATO-TÜV) with long-term purchase guarantees for the producers has a job and income security function. All of the unique "scrap vehicles" are made by hand in over 20 small family businesses. Each model is unique and has a different design, which cannot be selected (photos are only design examples). The models have slight traces of rust (others call it vintage).
