At the models 240, 260, 740, 760, 780, 940, 960, S90 and V90 the Repairkit is used for the cable connection of the Speed sensor at the rear axle differential. There are often problems with the Speedometer when this cable connection is bad.
If the cable kit is used for the Reversing light switch:
Only suitable for the old switch version, see item no. 1003830.
This was replaced by Volvo in a set which contains switches, cables and connectors
(SKANDIX 1030611.1030602). It was replaced because the switch connection had changed. The new switch is standard from 2006. All vehicles built before 2005 have either the old switch or have already been converted. Part # 1030602 comes into implementation.
