Braces between the strut towers and the firewall, as originally used at the US 1978 Volvo 242GT.
Suspension cross braces are reinforcing the strut towers and reduce flex at the body. They are more than the perfect complement to a sport chassis and wide tires which put additional stress on the body. The directional stability and the directness of the steering is improved at standard vehicles too.
