Its necessary to assemble an additional control box (Trailermodule) which has to be released with software by a authorised Volvo workshop.

Only applies to vehicles with 2 rear silencers (duplex system):

To be able to tighten the trailer hitch support correctly, the exhaust system must be cut off before the Y-divider for the rear silencers. The separation point is marked with a notch on the underside of the pipe.

A pipe connector must be used for reconnection. These are stored in the accessories - use them:

No. 1032406 for 6-cylinder petrol engines without turbo and diesel engines
No. 1039339 for 6-cylinder petrol engine with turbo

It must use this method so that the exhaust system is not damaged when you try to push down the muffler, for example.
