Turn Signal Switch Repair Kit for Saab 900
10.07.2026
Many classic Saab 900s manufactured before 1993 suffer from a worn turn signal switch at higher mileage, which simply won’t stay engaged.
What may seem merely annoying at first can, however, become quite risky in certain situations—you don’t always have a free hand while driving to hold the switch in place. If this is noticed during a vehicle inspection, it is rightly considered a significant defect, and the inspection sticker will be denied.
The cause is actually quite easy to identify if you disassemble the switch and inspect it more closely: The housing of the turn signal switch normally has a groove on each of the two triangular tabs inside, where the drive pin engages. These grooves have simply been worn smooth through use and are no longer there, so nothing can engage.
We’ve had a repair kit with a new housing in our product lineup for quite some time. However, the manufacturer discontinued it and could no longer supply us. Since demand remains high, we had the cast housing produced and put the kit together ourselves.
The repair kit, which includes detailed instructions, is now available again in our shop under the part number 1059601.
So that everyone can be sure of which direction they want to take, now and in the future.
Compatible with the following vehicles:
- Saab 900 (pre-1993): Models from 1979 onward
