Instrument panel bezel for Volvo Amazon, P210 and PV544

Instruments in classic cars are often unsightly after fifty or more years. If they have chrome or specially painted bezels, the coating will have chipped and will be impossible or very difficult to restore. The panes in front of the scales or dials are also often scratched or cloudy, especially if they are made of Plexiglas or a similar plastic.
Specialists who repair instruments usually only restore the function due to a lack of options or availability of parts.
Often, no spare parts are available even for common round instruments such as those from Smiths or VDO.
This is also the case with the specific instrument cluster for Volvo Amazon, P210 and PV544. Many of them are no longer really beautiful. The original wrinkled paint surface is difficult to restore and the right primer for the substrate is not found on every corner. Some restorers have complained to us because, for example, the paint did not hold or the disc could no longer be polished.
So we came up with the idea of having a set of trims produced based on the original model. We also found someone who could help us realize this project.
Of course, we mounted the prototype to test how well it fits. The excellent result could already be seen in September 2024 at our stand at the Klassieker Beurs in Rosmalen, where we exhibited our first sample.
In our prototype, the original lenses for the control lights from an old instrument were installed, but we have since had these newly produced in a very high-quality design. The glued-in light disks are available for the two variants 1962-64 (1102455) and from 1965 (1102454).
The sets of trims have now arrived and are available immediately from our shop under the number 1077409.
