Headlight cover for Saab 900 (-93) and Saab 9000

We had new headlights for the classic Saab 900 (1002942, 1002943) for the last model years from 1987 to 1993 reproduced some time ago. The rear covers for these headlights were still available new at the time, so we deliberately avoided reissuing the parts that Saab always offered separately. In most cases, you can continue to use this cover even if the headlight is replaced because of a blind reflector.
As soon as the headlights were available from us, these covers were of course sold out and no longer available anywhere in the world.
Some people need the covers as new parts when replacing the headlights, possibly because they were forgotten at the gas station when the bulbs were replaced or simply disappeared at some point. We know this all too well: we just had a quick look and three weeks later, for some unknown reason, it is simply no longer there.
A headlight that is open at the back is unfavorable. Heat is lost, which is not unimportant for keeping it free of ice in winter. In addition, dirt and water can penetrate in unfavorable cases. This in turn is not permanently healthy for the light output and lifespan of the reflector, plug contacts corrode and form contact resistances.
So we had no choice but to have the covers for the Saab 900 and Saab 9000 headlights newly produced. The covers fit both the original and the SKANDIX headlights for the Saab 900.
The covers are now available in our shop with article number 1049567.

- Saab 900 (-1993): model from 1986
- Saab 9000: 1992 to 1993 model, use vehicle model for 9000 CS
- Saab 9000: from 1994 model
