Carburettor set for Volvo B4B

For owners of a Volvo PV444 or P445, there is now a replacement carburettor for the Volvo B4B engine. SKANDIX offers a complete conversion kit for this purpose.
The B4B engine is converted from the Zenith 30VIG or Carter to a reliable new Weber 34 carburettor.
The original carburettors are no longer available as new parts and the used ones are mostly worn out. Overhauling the carburettors is often not possible due to lack of spare parts or warped casings.
The kit was developed in collaboration with a rally team who fitted the carburettor to a 1956 PV444K. The car has proven itself in everyday use as well as in rally events.
Details of the conversion:
- Conversion to a downdraft carburettor of similar type.
- No exchange part, the original vehicle parts can be kept.
- With pre-assembled 165 main jet. This can be replaced with the 145 main jet included in the kit if required. A float chamber gasket is also included in the set for this purpose.
- The original air filter no longer fits, a suitable sports air filter is included in the kit.
- The original choke cable fits.
- Fuel supply with hose nozzle. The original steel line between pump and carburettor may have to be converted to hose, but this is recommended by the vehicle manufacturer anyway to avoid vapour bubbles.
