Auxiliary oil cooler for automatic transmission - Cool for heavy loads

To counteract the wear and tear caused by high transmission loads, SKANDIX offers an additional oil cooler for automatic transmissions as a retrofit kit for the Volvo 200, 700 and 900 series.
Anyone who is often on the road with heavy loads or towing a trailer on their Volvo exposes the automatic transmission of their vehicle to increased stress and thus greater wear. To increase the service life of the transmission, the vehicle manufacturer recommends the use of an auxiliary oil cooler.
The installation of an additional oil cooler can also be a sensible option to improve the transmission oil cooling in the long term for vehicles with automatic transmissions that have increased performance or are constantly used in hot or tropical countries.
The original kit from the manufacturer (Volvo No. 1333839) is unfortunately no longer available. An equivalent alternative is available in the form of SKANDIX kit 1056357.
The additional oil cooler extends the existing cooling circuit. The adapter is inserted between the upper connection of the transmission oil cooling coil in the water cooler and the existing transmission oil line.
The kit includes an air-oil cooler, two oil hoses, the connection adapter and a screw set for fastening the oil cooler in front of the water cooler or A/C condenser.
The oil hoses are 1m long and can be shortened. The fastening of the oil cooler must be solved individually depending on the vehicle model and equipment.
The part fits the Volvo vehicle models 240 and 740, as petrol 4 cylinder or diesel, each with automatic transmission. As well as for the models 940 and 960 from year of manufacture 1994 as petrol 4 cylinders or with diesel engine D24TIC, in each case with automatic transmission.
