Release fork clutch for Volvo 850, S70 and V70 I

Wear on the release fork is already known in older Volvo models with high mileage. The pressure points of the bearing journals and slave cylinder rub through or the material of the fork becomes fatigued. The release fork then cracks on the outside and subsequently bends.
Of course, this also depends on how the vehicle is driven. If you stand on the clutch at every intersection with the gear engaged and then let the clutch slip for a long time, you will experience this sooner than someone who treats the clutch with care. The release lever has to push countless tons during its lifetime, so if you use it sparingly, it will last longer.
A defective release fork is now also occasionally found in an 850, S70, or V70. In the latter, of course, only up to 1997, which do not yet have a central release.
Why does this not happen or happen less often in other vehicles? The main reason is simple: they simply do not reach the necessary mileage. The average car usually ends up on the scrap heap after 200,000 to 300,000 km, which is just about the mileage of a Volvo.
Unfortunately, this part, which is now in high demand, is currently unavailable from the vehicle manufacturer. So we had the release fork reproduced, because no manual Volvo 850 can drive without this important part.
