Volvo V70 I

This Volvo V70 from 1998 by Felix Beus shows how convincing the colour "turquoise metallic" can be on a vehicle.

After Felix had restored his 1998 V70I, especially the interior, with the help of the very helpful SKANDIX report "Refresh Volvo S60I, S80I, V70II, V70XC (XC70)", it can now also be seen in our gallery.

A few words about the history of the car:

When Felix bought the V70 in April 2019, the Volvo had been registered for less than six months to a Saab collector who just didn't want to get used to a Volvo.
The V70 had spent the good 20 years before with the lady who had registered it as a new car in May 1998 and driven it very little - 160,000 km.

Felix cannot be pleased enough with the buyer's concentration on the essentials (2.5 10V 144 hp, black leather, air conditioning and cruise control) and her choice of the somewhat special but period-typical paint finish in "turquoise metallic". The same goes for the retrofitted rigid trailer coupling, which is only three years old.
When the cruise control failed on the delivery trip, he feared the Volvo would become an expensive bad buy with the first tank of petrol, but after soldering the wire in the steering column switch, which was suffering from a fatigue fracture, the cruise control works perfectly again.

In 3,000 trouble-free kilometres, the V70 has thanked us for the change from "standing vehicle" in city traffic to daily driver on country roads with constantly increasing elasticity and decreasing consumption.
