Replace door handle locking cylinder and lock components

Remove the screw (Skandix 1072954) and counternut from the lock cylinder pressure pin.


Remove the baseplate screws (Skandix 1058957) from the door handle.


Use our repair kit Skandix 1072654 if the threads for the baseplate screws inside the door handle are broken.


Remove the baseplate and the pushbutton return spring (Skandix 1035156).

Inspect the baseplate (Skandix 1052209 / 1052210). The screw lugs only have a small outer rim. If they are teared off the pushbutton will not come out after being operated.


Pull out the pushbutton along with locking cylinder and pressure pin.


The lock cylinder is sequred with a pin which is located in a groove below the pushbutton gasket (Skandix 1072951).


Remove the pin with a hammer and a punch pin. If it is hard to remove you can release it by turning the locking cylinder back and forth while pulling the key outwards.
Do not remove the key when pulling out the locking cylinder, even if the locking cylinder has been disassembled. Adjustment plates and springs could fly away.

Now locking cylinder and pressure pin (Skandix 1026451) can be replaced. A worn pressure pin will not operated the lock reliable.
