Fuel pump installation kit
Volvo 400, 900, V50, S60 (-2009), V70 P26 (2001-2007), S80 (-2006)
23.11.2021- All required parts are included in this installation kit.
- Tested for flow and pressure systems.
- This installation kit is developed for Volvo and Saab vehicles, but can also be used in other models from various manufacturers.
Preparations
- Read the instructions completely before installation.
- Have the repair carried out at a designated specialist workshop.
- Park the vehicle on a flat and well ventilated surface.
- Open fire or flying sparks are not permitted during installation.
- Have a fire extinguisher ready in case of emergency.
- Before starting the repair, disconnect the ground cable (-) of the battery.
- If the vehicle has just been used, allow all vehicle parts to cool down before working on the fuel system.
- Avoid any equipment, cables or lights that may overheat or cause sparks.
- Avoid inhaling fuel vapours.
- Avoid body contact with fuel or immediately clean the areas of the body that have come into contact with the fuel. - Wear protective goggles during any repairs.
- If you have no experience in repairing fuel systems, we recommend having the work carried out at a specialist workshop.
Warning: This fuel pump is only suitable for electronic injection systems, not for carburettor systems.
Volvo S, V, XS, 60,70, 80, 90
Dismantle the fuel pump and clean the drip tray.
Remove the old pump and disconnect the filter.
Place a piece of foam rubber in the pump holder and grease the inside of the foam rubber and the new fuel pump. Then place the new pump in the holder.
Fit the new filter.
Install the new fuel pump, hose and cables completely into the drip tray.
Saab 900, 9000, 9-3, 9-5
Attention: To remove the supply and return lines, the check valve must be soaked in "rust solvent" for a few minutes. Then it can be carefully pulled off.
Disassemble the fuel pump and clean the drip tray.
Remove the old pump and disconnect the filter.
Place a piece of foam rubber in the pump holder and grease the inside of the foam rubber and the new fuel pump. Then place the new pump in the bracket.
Fit the new fuel pump with the adapter rubber.
Place the new filter at the bottom of the fuel pump.
Press the strainer and pump into the rubber holder inside the drip tray.
Close the drip tray with its lid and mount the ejector.
Secure the end piece of the rubber hose with clamps.
