Conversion kit for Idle control valve, Air supply

Installation manual for the conversion kit to electrical Idle control valve at D-Jetronic engines.


Prepare:

  • Drain cooling fluid
  • Dismount the original idle control valve and the hoses
  • Clean the sealing surface at the cylinder head

Install the gasket cap with the gasket at the cylinder head.


Install the Relay socket near the original relays in the engine compartment and clip the relay on.


There are coming 2 short cables out of the relay socket:

Mount the black cable (ground) with the eyelet with a screw of a relay.

Connect the green cable (with the female blade terminal) with the 2nd output of the fuel pump relay. There is only this one free connector at original relays.


Here you can see the mounting points for the new idle control valve. Lead the connector from the cable harness to the new valve.


Connect the idle control valve with the plug.


Mount the idle control valve and mount the black cable (ground, with the eyelet) with one of the screws.


Connect the long hose (without insulation tube) with the stud of the idle control valve, which points to the throttle body.

Connect the other end of the long hose with the front stud of the throttle body. Lay the hose like it is shown on our picture.


Connect the short hose (with indulation tube) with the stud of the idle control valve, which points to the engine.

Connect the other end of the short hose witht the rear stud of the throttle body.


Lay the read cable to the positive terminal of the battery and connect it.
