This three-phase alternator can be easily exchanged for the original part with an external controller on the Saab V4. If the recommended V-belt is twisted, there are no installation problems whatsoever. The original multiplugs are removed from the alternator and regulator and killed. The red D+ line must be unpinned from one of the two multi-plugs and, provided with insulation, plugged into the corresponding terminal on the new alternator. The positive battery cable (B+, originally grey!) is also screwed onto the corresponding screw terminal of the new one and is therefore ready for use.
