If the position of the wheel bearing in the steering knuckle changes and it moves minimally outwards, ABS and ESP error messages may appear in the instrument. This problem occurs, for example, when driving in a very sporty style, in poor road conditions or when using large accessory rims.
The brace was designed by the vehicle manufacturer to hold the wheel bearing securely in position.
The part can easily be fixed to existing mounting points after dismantling the brake disc. If it has not been fitted in the factory, the part can be retrofitted on all Volvo C30, C70 (06-), S40 (04-) and V50.
