In the Volvo S80, V70, XC70 parts cataloge the spare steering racks are not only assigned by the vehicle information. You need to know the original number of the old steering rack to order the correct spare. The original number can be found on a barcode label at the steering rack housing.

On some vehicles, the existing dust boot over the universal joint to the steering column does not fit on the steering gear. In such a case, the cuff must be adjusted or omitted, it is not absolutely necessary.
