Condition of old parts when returned
The proportion of refurbished spare parts is increasing sharply in the automotive parts trade. Vehicle manufacturers support this development because it protects the environment and resources. However, only parts that have failed due to wear and tear that is normal for the component can be refurbished. Parts that show external damage from impact, accident or severe corrosion, for example, can no longer be refurbished and must be scrapped.
The repayment of the deposit value requires the return of a recyclable old part. Here is a checklist of the basic requirements that must be met:
- Old part without mechanical damage to the housing, especially no cracks in the turbine housing!
- The old part corresponds to the replacement part supplied
- Core complete and assembled
- Old part without liquid residues
- Old part without accident damage
- Old part in the replacement part packaging supplied by Skandix
Used parts that do not meet these requirements are scrapped; the deposit amount will not be refunded!
