Error message diesel particulate filter

The DPF® indicator light in the instrument panel does not always mean that theparticulate filter needs to be changed immediately. Often bitten by raccoon, the connection hoses between DPF® and differential pressure sensor can give you this error. A growing problem, because the high temperature resistant silicone hoses are the preferred targets of small four-legged friends. The problem is even more annoying because some vehicle manufacturers offer replacement hoses only very high-priced or only in conjunction with pressure sensors.

The repair solution of HJS

The new Repair Kits from HJS always contain two high temperature resistant silicone tubes of one meter in length with a diameter of 5 mm and 6.5 mm. These diameters are used by nearly all car manufacturers for the connection between DPF® and differential pressure sensor. The high percentage of silicon enables the routing of hoses in small bending radii and can therefore replace molded hoses.

The tubes are made of high temperature resistant silicone quality to withstand the high heat development in the diesel particulate filter.
To protect the renewed silicone hoses from further marten bites, two additional sets chewy predator protection tubes were settled. These are specially developed for this application and approved by the automotive industry.
