On V70 and XC70 up to 2013 (pre-facelift), the taillights from 2013 (after facelift) can be converted using an adapter cable.
The adapter is required because of different pin assignments and different light sources. Without an adapter, the taillights produce errors and do not function properly.
Only one adapter is required for the complete conversion.
All rear lights are required for the conversion:
