Skandix 1067556 is a Spare plastic block for the Volvo P1800 2nd. Generation Revolution counter (Smith RVI 3410/00).
Originally it is a part of the Cable harness.
The Revolution signal is picked up inductively. The cable which connects the Ignition Distributor and the Coil is passed through the plastic block in a loop. At the back of the Revolution counter gauge there is a stud (The Pick up) where the Plastic block is mounted with a clamp and a nut.
Both the routing and the size of the cable loop are important for the correct function of the Gauge. The Gauge will not work with an oversized loop. A too tight loop will cause an excessive indication. Best way is to adjust the loop size with the help of an external Revolution counter tool. In case of doubt interchange the Cable ends.
