additional info:

This is a retrofit kit for the Volvo models mentioned. Unfortunately, these vehicles do not come equipped with a low coolant warning system from the factory. Therefore, there is no warning on the instrument panel when the coolant level is too low. We recommend this retrofit kit to equip your vehicle with this warning function. For safety reasons, a new expansion tank, a new sensor, and a new sensor wiring harness are installed, which is conveniently connected to the vehicle's existing wiring harness via a plug.

We also recommend that you check your vehicle's hoses and thermostat housing. We also offer an aluminum upgrade for the thermostat housing: 1102616.

Installing the upgraded expansion tank in your vehicle takes approximately one hour without the need to visit a workshop. It may take slightly longer for vehicles with a turbocharger. The concept of a coolant warning system is not new, and most Volvo models were equipped with this feature.
