Volvo has changed the handbrake cables for 960 from 1995, S90 and V90. The old ropes are no more available.

If a section is defective, the entire handbrake cable system must be converted to the new version.

IMPORTANT:

The required connector between the left and the front handbrake cable is not included in the scope of delivery for the left house brand cable (Skandix 1001345). Order the connector separately (Skandix 1062441). The connector is included with the original rope (Skandix 1015623).

The house brand can always be used for the right-hand side.

On the additional picture we show the correct connection of the three handbrake cables. On the right in the picture is the above Connector, on the left the connection to the right rope with bolt and cotter pin.
