What does "old part in advance" mean?
As there are no longer enough old parts of this spare part worldwide, we cannot access any stock. Please send us - after placing an order - your spare part to be reconditioned so that it can be overhauled. In contrast to exchange parts in stock, there are no deposit amounts.
Reconditioned control units are not just a repaired control unit, but a completely overhauled control unit. As part of the general overhaul, all components that are typically prone to defects in these control units are replaced.
The cable connections of the control unit often corrode. The resulting electrical resistance then burns the connectors. Control units with defective connector pins are unusable and cannot be repaired.
It is essential to ensure that the control unit numbers match, otherwise software recognition problems can occur in the vehicle!
Service instructions:
If there are signs of corrosion and scorching on the plug connection of the control unit, the plug of the cable harness must be replaced! The charring caused by the electrical resistances ultimately destroys the control unit.
