This repair part is a new core for the fabric covered part of the door panel.
The part solves the following problems:
- During disassembly it can easily happen that the holes for the retaining clips tear out of the core. Then the part can no longer be properly fastened, rattles while driving or falls off.
- Furthermore, the foam dissolves under the cover so that the cover gets dents.
The old cover can usually be reused after thorough cleaning.
