The assembly of bumpers on classic cars requires a certain amount of experience and practical skills. The positioning of the holders is of crucial importance.
These holders must always be adapted to the vehicle and the new bumper, regardless of whether the old holders are used or whether new holders are used. To do this, the holders must be bent to fit in small steps.
This requires repeated mounting and dismounting of the bumper, possibly without mounted horns and brackets. If the bumper is then straight and the distance is the same all around, the bumper can be completely pre-assembled and screwed on. Finally the connecting screws of the bumper are tightened and the final check is done.
The assembly of a bumper can take 6 to 8 hours for untrained persons. Professional workshops can complete the assembly in half the time.
