additional info:
Universal vacuum-based filling and bleeding tool for cooling systems.
Following repairs to a cooling system, simply topping up the expansion tank often leads to air pockets becoming trapped in water, oil, EGR, or charge-air coolers, as well as in pipe bends, behind thermostats, or within auxiliary heaters.
The vehicle's own water pump often pushes these air pockets through the system, resulting in temperature fluctuations, overheating, and error codes. Customers may also report poor interior heating performance.
This universal vacuum-based cooling system filling tool allows you to avoid these issues easily and professionally.
Service instructions:
The expansion tank should be empty; the cooling system should not be pre-filled following the repair.
Ensure both levers are in a horizontal position and the slide valve is set to "CLOSED."
Connect the compressed air inlet to your workshop’s compressed air supply.
The thinner hose is designed to drain any coolant that may be accidentally drawn in and to vent the exhaust air.
Attach the thicker hose to the lower connection on the unit and submerge it into the container of pre-mixed coolant; the integrated strainer prevents larger particles from being drawn in.
Insert the cone into the blue hose and position it against the opening of the expansion tank or radiator.
Open the compressed air slide valve; this creates a vacuum, causing the cone to seal firmly against the opening.
Allow the vacuum to build until it stabilizes (approximately -0.7 to -0.9 bar), then close the selector lever followed by the slide valve.
Monitor the gauge for a period of time; if the vacuum level remains constant, the cooling system is sealed.
Slowly open the lower coolant selector lever until the coolant begins to be drawn in (do not open the lever fully; a steady, slow flow ensures better filling).
Once the vacuum has been completely dissipated, the reservoir should be filled, and the system should be entirely free of air bubbles.
Start the vehicle, check for leaks as it reaches operating temperature, and verify the performance of the heating system.
