Millimetre work: Adjusting wheel bearings
When professionally installing the rear wheel bearings on Spicer and Salisbury rear axles with drum brakes, the wheel bearing play must be set correctly.
Rear axles of this type are fitted, for example, to Volvo car models 120, 130, 220, P1800, PV444 and PV544. These require spacers, which are available in different thicknesses. On newer vehicle models, on the other hand, the Spicer axles installed usually already have an adjustment system with set screws.
The spacers for older rear axles were no longer available on the market for some time.
SKANDIX has now reissued the wheel bearing spacers for Spicer and Salisbury rear axles:

- 0.10 mm
- 0.30 mm
- 1.00 mm
- 1.50 mm
