Washing water nozzle for the rear view camera on the Volvo V60, V90, XC60, and XC90

Some useful extras only benefit a vehicle during its construction phase. This does not always happen when a developer has been thwarted by the buyer's red pen. It also happens that someone has to come up with the idea first because they did not see the problem before.
This is also the case with the rearview camera, which has been increasingly installed for over a decade. Such a reversing aid is certainly extremely practical, but when it first became widespread, no one really thought about the tendency of the camera lens to get dirty.
The lens is almost bound to get dirty, which is due to the design of most vehicles with sloping or station wagon rear ends. Aerodynamics create a vortex in the rear area that causes the rear of the vehicle to become dirty. This is particularly noticeable in winter.
Since 2024, the XC90 has been available with a washer nozzle for the rearview camera, which is activated together with the rear wiper. This ensures a clear view on the monitor. This washer nozzle is now available as a retrofit kit and can be installed in all XC90 models from 2016 onwards:
Due to the similarity between the models, the retrofit kit also fits the V90 (2017-), V60, V60 CC (2019-), V90CC, and XC60 (2018-).
The retrofit kit from the vehicle manufacturer contains everything you need for installation, including a tailgate handle with cutout.
