The "Snow Caps" for the Volvo 200 series are available again!
It was not without reason that Volvo offered covers for the air intake grille of the Volvo 240 / 260 vehicles in the accessories programme.
On the Volvo 200 the sills are ventilated, there is a connection between the air intake grille in front of the windscreen and the sills. This should prevent rust due to the constant air circulation. Unfortunately, in addition to fresh air, snow, leaves and other dirt gets into the air intake. It clogs the water drains and binds moisture.
The "Snow Cap" is a protective cover for the air intake that prevents leaves and dirt from entering.
After being out of stock for many years, this item has now been reissued by a Californian Volvo 200 specialist. These "Wagonmeister" covers are made of high quality fibreglass. The product is quite heavy and the fixings are solid. The surface finish is clean and the colour is matt black. Of course you can paint the caps in any wagon colour.
Two versions are offered: The one-piece cap for models up to 1985. And the two-piece set for models from 1986 onwards.
The test fitting on our Volvo 244 from 1977 and the Volvo 245 from 1992 was done without any problems within a few minutes.
