Slide hammer adapter

A thread adapter for our slide hammer M10 (1074165) to extraction tools with internal thread M12x1.5 is available.
We have had our high quality slide hammer and some tools for it in our program for over three years. Originally, the slide hammer was only intended as an extractor for the quick-release axles of the Spicer rear axles of classic Volvos such as PV, Amazon and P1800.
Relatively quickly, however, we noticed that the market offers quite a few tools for the M10 threaded mount. And that some of them are suitable as special tools for Volvo or Saab, we probably do not need to mention. So we have gradually added more tools for our slide hammer.
Most of the time, this was due to customer inquiries or a repair on one of our vehicles for which a special tool was needed.
So we looked through catalogs and manuals, researched what the original tool once looked like and then looked for something suitable.
But sometimes you can't find the right tool, at least not for this particular thread. Remakes are often not that easy, sometimes simply uneconomical.
This is what happened to us with the extraction tool for the carrying joints (1079075) for the somewhat younger Volvo V70ll, S60 and S80: there are several on the market, but the threaded mount is always M12 x 1.5 and the set always comes without the matching slide hammer.
We knew that such an adapter is much cheaper to make than to order the whole slide hammer, so we had a suitable thread adapter made.
After all, many Volvo mechanics and especially the full-time mechanics are not only busy with one vehicle, we know some who drive V70s in winter and Humpbacks in summer. In between, there are times when they are working on the car, even the everyday car needs attention from time to time. And so that the tools remain economical:
