Silicone coolant hoses for Saab 9-3

Coolant hoses are a vital component of the engine peripherals. If they leak, real disasters can quickly occur. A blown cylinder head gasket is then the lesser of two evils.
Original hoses usually have a fairly long service life, but they don't particularly like leaking engine oil. Oil seeps into the hoses, causing them to swell and soften. If a small leak develops at some point, you can consider yourself lucky. However, it is not uncommon for them to burst, and the coolant is gone in no time.
And then there are the small, slender predators that like to gnaw on the rubber in the engine compartment. However, martens only get really angry when they smell the trail of a previous fellow species. Then they often bite into many things, much to the annoyance of the vehicle owner.
It is therefore quite possible that coolant hoses may need to be replaced before they reach the end of their service life.
For the second series Saab 9-3 from 2003 onwards, we have had a complete set of high-quality silicone hoses in our shop for several years. These are only suitable for the B207 engine.
The set combines several advantages over conventional fabric hoses.
Silicone is more resistant to chemicals and oil, and the hose set does not have the vulnerable connector for turbocharger cooling on the upper radiator hose. In our set, the charger hose is firmly attached to the radiator hose, so there is no possibility of leaks.
Our supplier recently changed the hose color from blue to a more original black.
