Rear coil spring for Four-C suspension on the Volvo V70, XC70, and S60

Starting in 2005, the Four-C suspension was available as an option on the Volvo V70, XC70, and S60. It features electronically controlled shock absorbers that can adjust damping force in a fraction of a second based on factors such as speed, yaw rate, and steering angle. Furthermore, the driver can adjust the suspension setup between comfortable and sporty modes. Four-C thus offers both enhanced driving safety and a suspension system that can be customized to personal preference.

At the time, not many Volvo buyers opted for this rather expensive option, presumably out of skepticism toward the technology. Unfounded, as we know today; the added driving safety is particularly noticeable in borderline situations.

However, due to their rarity and the short production run in the V70/II and S60/I, some suspension parts are no longer available; special Four-C components were usually not even available from aftermarket suppliers to begin with.

Due to high demand, we’ve recently had the rear springs for the Four-C suspension—which are no longer available—manufactured by a renowned spring manufacturer.

The spring with the original part number 30645324 for spring code 58 is now available in our shop under the number 1053867.
