Goodbye to half-hearted repairs and expensive used parts - especially for classic vehicles, there is now a new solution for cardan shafts!
SKANDIX has had the cardan shaft for the Volvo P1800 made new.
You may know the problem: The shafts in the vehicle have often already been repaired several times with new universal joints over the years. However, the fork or eyes can bend during installation. If the repair is delayed too long, the fork eyes are often already worn out and the newly mounted universal joints quickly break down again.
The sliding piece for the length compensation in the middle of the shaft also wears out over time. If the driving comfort is to be restored, this often entails costly repairs in a special workshop.
With the newly produced part, there is now an economical alternative: it is better to make a new one once, then rest easy for the time being!
Up to now, used shafts of this type have been rare and expensive to obtain.
Under article no. 1057207, the cardan shaft with centre bearing and disc-shaped drive flange (diameter 87.5 mm) suitable for original B18 and B20 engines with carburettor is available as a new part ready for installation.
The part fits the Volvo P1800S from model year 1967 to 1969 with standard M41 overdrive gearbox.
