New Sun Visors for the Volvo 140 and 164
30.10.2026
Sun visors are an indispensable accessory, especially during the darker months of the year. That’s because the sun is lower in the sky in the mornings and afternoons and tends to be a bit more blinding when the sky is cloudless.
Since there are days when even sunglasses aren’t dark enough, we’ve had sun visors remanufactured based on the original design for the Volvo 140 (model year 1968 and later) and all Volvo 164 models.
Now, a sun visor in a Volvo 140 or 164 isn’t the kind of part that just breaks on its own. But in vehicles that are over fifty years old, they can start to look a bit worn. The vinyl covering may be stained or damaged by sunlight, the seams may come apart, or the fasteners may break—all things that can happen at that age. Even in a Volvo.
If your good old Volvo is getting a new headliner because the old one is stained or damaged, then new sun visors—or at least ones with new covers—are a must. New sun visors save you the trouble of painstakingly refurbishing the frame parts and searching for an upholsterer who can cover them with a perfect fit.
The new sun visors for the Volvo 140 (model year 1968 and later) and the Volvo 164 are now available in the shop under the part numbers 1107919 (left) and 1107920 (right).
