Grab handle for Volvo 164 and 200 available again

The grab handle in the roof pillar above the door, the so-called "panic handle" for Volvo 164 and 200 is available again.
The grab handle in the roof usually has the same fate as many other plastic parts: due to age, the plastic becomes brittle, often cracked and unsightly, and the plasticisers have evaporated decades ago.
When it is actually used as intended, it simply breaks off because it is hopelessly overloaded.
This part has not been available from the vehicle manufacturer for several years. What is still available on the used parts market is often over thirty years old and is usually only good for decoration.
Of course, this handle is not vital, but it leaves unsightly holes in the roof lining or broken-off remnants. And many a co-driver has appreciated it when the driver shows off the ambitions of Swedish rally legends. Sometimes it is simply appreciated as an aid to getting in or out of the car.
As the number of customer enquiries increased and we were looking for used parts for a longer period of time, we decided to look for a manufacturer for the handholds and ordered a new one.
The new handles have now arrived, they are perfectly made according to original samples and are now available in our shop under the number 1031592.
Fits the following vehicles:
- Volvo 164: model up to 1973, chassis no. up to 96559, here additional holes have to be drilled because the hole pattern of the older handles is not identical
- Volvo 164: Model from 1973, chassis no. from 96560
- Volvo 240: all models
- Volvo 260: all models
