The Volvo models P1800E, P1800ES, 142, 144, 145 and 164 with D-Jetronic often have problems with the auxiliary air slide.
SKANDIX now offers a conversion kit for an electric auxiliary air slide.
The advantage of converting to our electric auxiliary air slide is clearly that - although cheaper than the spare part - it offers a sustainable repair. Volvo used to offer a similar kit, but this has long since been discontinued.
In addition to the electric auxiliary air slide, the ready-to-install kit includes a stainless steel closure plate for the cylinder head, a wiring harness, a relay and hoses for connection. With the supplied illustrated installation instructions, the conversion succeeds without any problems.
The only question that might remain open is the historical correctness of the conversion. But as already mentioned, Volvo itself offered a comparable conversion kit, which means that any friend of original repairs can take advantage of it without hesitation.
