Buffer Front lid for Saab 900

Due to the design of the classic Saab 900, the hood sometimes needs to be closed with a little extra force. To prevent the hood from hitting the fender when it locks into place, there are stop buffers on the front of the fenders. If these are not present, paint damage to the fender and hood will inevitably occur sooner or later. After more than thirty years, however, the stop buffers may simply be worn out, as rubber is known to age badly when exposed to sunlight.
This is probably also the reason why these parts have been sold out for some time. We noticed this by chance during a restoration and had the stop buffers reproduced immediately. Our car is certainly not the only one where these parts have been lost. When replacing the sometimes rusty fenders, it is also a good idea to install new parts, as the original ones were riveted and have to be drilled out.
The new hood stop buffers are now available in our shop under the number 1046098.
