Belt gear, timing belt crankshaft for Volvo 200 and 900

The timing belt pulley for Volvo 200 and 900 from 1993 is available again.

The crankshaft pulley for the B200 and B230 in the late version with the round teeth has not been available from Volvo for some time.

Now this is not a typical wearing part, but at some point the timing belt pulley is also worn out. It just doesn't wear out in the timing belt interval, because a well-maintained B230 may well experience ten of them. After 4-500,000 kilometres, the timing belt pulley may also be worn, recognisable by the narrowing of the teeth. If the belt no longer lies completely on the teeth, it wears out at a rapid pace.

It can also happen that the timing belt pulley cannot be detached from the crankshaft without damage, for example to replace the oil seal. It doesn't happen often, but sometimes it is simply rusted tight or has seized due to improper installation in advance.

In any case, it would be a shame if a good car could then no longer be put into operation because of a defective pulley. We did not hesitate for long and ordered a remanufacture. There are still plenty of good cars from the '93 model years onwards on the road.

The crankshaft belt pulley is now available in our shop under the number 1017816.
