6-way Brake lines junction with brake warning switch for Volvo classic cars available again

After this junction was no longer available for many years, SKANDIX has now reissued this part. The time-consuming search and reconditioning of used parts is now a thing of the past.
SKANDIX 1049575 was manufactured according to original sample (Volvo 673764) in OEM quality from brass and is suitable for vehicles with 2-circuit brake system (LL-split/Volvo-split).
You can recognise this brake system by the fact that 2 brake hoses lead to each brake calliper on the front axle.
This 6-circuit junction is the main distribution in the engine compartment and distributes the brake pressure from the master brake cylinder to the axles.
This junction also contains the brake warning switch "Differential pressure switch brake circuits". If there would be a pressure drop in one brake circuit due to e.g. a brake fluid leak, the switch would trip and the warning light in the instrument panel would light up. It happens that this safety feature no longer works reliably with old used manifolds.
The 2-circuit braking system with "Volvo split" was first introduced by Volvo as an additional safety feature in 1968 in the Volvo 140. From 1969 it was also installed in other models.
In the Volvo Amazon and P1800 from 1967-1968 there was also a 2-circuit brake system, but this only has a black and white split. This means that front and rear axle each have their own brake circuit. With the Volvo 2-circuit brake system from 1969 onwards, each brake circuit brakes both front axle wheels and one rear axle wheel. This system is known as the three-wheel braking system or LL split or Volvo split, as Volvo was the first manufacturer to use this system.
The SKANDIX reproduced 6-way brake line junction fits the following vehicles:
- Volvo Amazon B20 from 1969 onwards
- Volvo P1800 B20 from 1969 onwards
- Volvo P1800 ES
- Volvo 140 until 1970 with adjustments on the holder
- Volvo 140 from 1971
