Volvo 242 GT
Owners Kris VanDerBorgh and Peter Woods purchased this car in 2010.
It is a 1979 242 GT in Australian Specification of B23E engine and M46 transmission with a LSD fitted for 1979 race which is still in car today.
The car raced as a Group C touring car in 1979 Bathurst 1000 and finished 20th. After the race the car was returned to road going specification and sold as a road car. Around 1999 the car was prepared and used for road rally’s and hill climbs.
It will be raced in the historic Group C and Group A category in Australia. Pictures show as it is today prior to restoration to Group C specifications. Target completion date is July 2013.
