Brake drum Rear axle - The Differences

Volvo PV, 121, P1800

22.12.2021

The brake drums for our vintage Volvos are nowadays produced in different versions. We will give you an overview of the most important differences: In the 1-part version, hub and drum are made of one single cast part. In contrast, the Volvo original brake drums consist of several parts, as it was originally factory-installed. A new cast drum is mounted on a new steel hub. After being pressed together, the drum is grindet to the correct size and can be used immediately. The steel hub used here is more durable, more resilient and can also be used for Racing. The SKANDIX brake drums are true to the Volvo original in design and quality.
