Seal change for the down pipe/exhaust manifold

09.01.2017Repair manual for the exhaust manifold gasket at the Volvo "Euro V6" Engine. We show the repair at a Volvo 760 from 1984.
You need the following SKANDIX parts:
-6x Exhaust manifold gasket
SKANDIX ArtNr. 1006915
-2x Exhaust pipe gasket
SKANDIX ArtNr. 1000171
We recommend the following SKANDIX part for installation.
? - Rust solvent
SKANDIX ArtNr. 1005795
For safety reasons carefully disconnect the battery.
Use the rust solvent if necessary to loosen bolts on the exhaust pipe, manifold and the oil dipstick pipe.
Unscrew the oil dipstick pipe and remove it.
Unscrew the bolts from the manifold and exhaust pipe.?
The preheating tube must be removed on the driver`s side.
Carefully use a hammer to remove the rusted on parts.
Remove the exhaust manifold.
Clean the sealing surface to guarantee that there is a smooth surface to work with.
Replace the gaskets. Carefully observe that 2 new exhaust pipe gaskets must be used. Inspect the studs and replace them if necessary.
Install the parts in reverse order.
