Replacing the wiper arms for the head light cleaner

23.11.2021How to replace the wiper arms for the head light cleaner on the Volvo S40 / V40 up to 2004.
Fold up the wiper arm and remove the wiper blade.
Fold up the cap and remove the nut (wrench size 8mm).
Here the cap was already lost.
Pull the arm off. You can use a puller or pliers.
As usual a new wiper arm has no internal splines. They are cut during the first installation.
That is why it is important to place the arm in the exact position on the shaft! There is no second try!
When the arm sits in the exact position, the nut can be tightened.
Install the wiper blade, connect the washer hose and fold down the cap. Finished.
